RACV Ladies Masters
Hitting RACV Royal Palms Resort in February is the RACV Ladies Masters, with the world’s best female golfers shooting out for glory on one of the Gold Coast’s finest resort courses.

Quicksilver Pro
World surfing’s most talented professionals hit the beaches of the Southern Gold Coast in February and March for the opening round in the World Surfing Championships. A free, must see event, right on Golden Shore’s doorstep.

April

Australian Surf Life Saving Championships
The Australian Surf Life Saving Championships are held here right behind the Motel on North Kirra Beach. It consists of a two week festival of Surf Life Saving sports action.

June

Cooly Rocks On
Cooly Rocks On is Australia’s premier rock and roll nostalgia festival, with classic hot rods and custom built cars converging from around Australia to Coolangatta and the Tweed, making Golden Shores Airport Motel an ideal accommodation base.

July

Gold Coast Marathon
The flattest and fastest marathon in the country consists of the traditional 42km marathon, 21km half marathon, 10km run, 5km challenge and a 4-2.5km long junior dash.

October

SuperCars
Formerly the Gold Coast Indy, the SuperCars kicks into overdrive in late October with a week long street party, with the V8 Supercars taking to the streets of Surfers Paradise.

December

New Years Eve Celebrations
The Gold Coast is a fantastic place to bring in the New Year, with beach parties and fireworks displays situated right along the coast.
